It's currently in our development pipeline but there are a couple of changes we want to make to the site first. Would you be interested in using a KnowTango iPhone app?

I found this summary of notation systems for Tango, which I read with interest. I designed the Rasche Notation system for Tango, and I believe it suits your needs. You described it as using a grid (this is not so). It is designed to write across a page, as an email, text etc, the notebook is optional and not essential. If you had a few steps you wanted to describe, this is possible to do. I would welcome questions, to demonstrate or explain this. Regards, Thomas

Have you tried looking at how the ballroom texts/ballet texts write their notation. They have texts which allow teachers to not only learn, but of being ballroom, allows examination of teaching. Of course, in my opinion examination would not be the goal, but the communication would be. They have 2 different notations or writing styles according to the style. It may just give some ideas, thats all. I know of someone who has been heading in this direction in australia as well, his ideas may be worth looking at... Juan Rando Dance Academy.

Feature request

I am wonder if KnowTango can direstly import google calendar into the web site. Once the personal or event calendar is imported or embed to the web site. We only need to update directly on google calendar and KnowTango can have the real time update. Is that possible???

Your description in italics gave me goosebumps! Oooh how I miss it!

A comment on performances - At traditional milongas that I went to in Buenos Aires, I heard a lot of milongueros complain that they didn't like performances - they prefer to dance instead of sitting and watching. I think it's a pretty split crowd in that regard.

Beautifully written, Debbi!

Thank you for linking! BTW, it's he, not she :-)

For the room itself, I think floor quality and acoustics/sound system are important, the rest is fairly easy to manipulate.
